A ring with a screen, a joystick and a mic for talking to AI agents
· Aster editorial team
AI-generated imageStartup Aina opened pre-orders for its “AI ring,” which has a tiny screen, a joystick, a microphone and a speaker for taking calls. It can dictate notes, send prompts to agents, set reminders, show notifications and control music or Apple TV. It costs $399 during pre-orders and $499 after, with shipping starting in January 2027.
Why it matters
Companies are hunting for ways to talk to AI without pulling out your phone. This ring works like a miniature smartwatch, though its software is still in development.
For the technical crowd
It can dictate on a Mac with Wispr Flow or Aina’s own dictation engine, and gestures trigger actions based on what’s on your Mac or phone screen. Aina raised $5.5 million in July. Rivals include rings like Pebble Index 01 and Sandbar Stream.
